TIPS SEARCHING FOR CLASSMATES OR FRIENDS
• Mother’s don’t move and, if they are still alive, they could be living at the same address or, at the last address you had for them. Check your old, personal, telephone books.
• Dial (800) 373-3411 (free information) if you know the city and state.
• Classmates.com — searches can be done by typing in a name, If the person is found, and if the email address is current, an email will be sent letting them know that you have sent them a message.
• Reunion.com — not as popular as Classmates.com but can be of some help.
• Intellius.com, Veromi.net, privateeye.com and verizonsuperpages.com. If public information is available (i.e., listed telephone number) these sites will give you the information. If the information is not public there is a cost.
• Zabasearch.com is a free people search but with very limited information.
• Including a birth date, city or state helps in limiting the search to names that may apply and eliminating those that don’t.
• If a woman no longer uses her maiden name then a search for her must be done using her married name.
• We have found some of our classmates by remembering the name of a family member or the street they used to live on.
• If a person has been mentioned in a newspaper article, has a website or is in an organization that lists them as a member, a search on Google or Yahoo can lead you to a website that will give you some information.
• If you know the high school or college attended call the school and find out if they have an alumni association.
